WILD COAST CAMPAIGN

WILD COAST 25TH ANNIVERSARY CAMPAIGN

What is Wild Coast?

For 25 years, Wild Coast has been dedicated to conserving coastal and marine ecosystems, delivering remarkable results through a balanced and strategic approach. For nature enthusiasts and anyone passionate about protecting our planet, Wild Coast's achievements are music to their ears.

The Ask

Deliver a creative idea to promote and celebrate Wild Coast’s 25th anniversary.

THE INSIGHT: TRANSLATE STATS INTO MUSIC

The Idea

To celebrate Wild Coast’s 25th anniversary, we’re creating the Marine Symphony—a four-piece composition that pays musical tribute to Wild Coast’s initiatives and their transformative impact over the past 25 years.

Marine biologists will collect an array of mesmerizing sounds from the ocean, such as whale songs, crashing waves, wind currents, and the vibrant life of mangroves. Talented composers will then weave these natural sounds into the symphony’s movements, blending nature’s voice with musical expression.

EXECUTION

Gala Event

We’ll partner with the Del Mar Community Orchestra to bring the Marine Symphony to life, hosting a special Marine Gala evening for the community. This unforgettable event will welcome Wild Coast’s major donors, partners, and community members to celebrate 25 years of coastal conservation through the power of music.

Experiential

We’ll install audiovisual booths at key coastal locations—piers, outdoor amphitheaters, and beachside parks—where pedestrians can experience the Marine Symphony. Each booth will feature the symphony accompanied by a big screen showcasing Wild Coast’s impact on preserving marine ecosystems.

Digital

For broader access, the audio will also be available on streaming platforms like Spotify and iTunes, bringing the symphony’s message of conservation to listeners everywhere.

Social Media

A strategic social media program was designed to build excitement for the Marine Orchestra Symphony. The campaign highlights key aspects, starting with the main event, followed by a focus on the director behind the symphony, a breakdown of the musical program, and behind-the-scenes content featuring the marine biologist whose work made the project possible.

Traditional Media

The bike share ads turn everyday commuters into mobile promoters, while the bus shelter posters provide high-impact messaging in high-traffic pedestrian areas. The street pole banners add a striking visual presence, reinforcing the campaign's theme with compelling imagery of marine life. This strategic mix ensures widespread awareness and engagement for Wildcoast’s 25-year celebration of marine conservation.

Merchandise

Merchandise like t-shirts, water bottles, hats, and tote bags is a fantastic way to amplify a brand’s mission while engaging supporters. These items serve as walking advertisements, sparking conversations and spreading awareness wherever they go.

TAKING THINGS NATIONWIDE

We’ll take the Marine Symphony nationwide. We’ll bring it to mayor cities like San Francisco, Chicago, New York, and beyond. This nationwide tour will amplify awareness of Wild Coast’s mission and vision, inspiring communities across the U.S. to join the effort to protect our vital coastal and marine ecosystems.

WHY DOES THE IDEA WORK

The "Marine Symphony" campaign is a powerful fusion of music, nature, and storytelling that creatively celebrates Wild Coast’s mission while making marine conservation both engaging and memorable. By aligning with the organization's core values, the project highlights the urgency of protecting coastal ecosystems in a way that resonates emotionally with audiences. Its multidisciplinary approach—uniting marine biologists, composers, and orchestras—bridges science and art, fostering a collaborative spirit. With a media-friendly narrative and a nationwide touring component, the campaign amplifies its reach, while digital and public installations ensure accessibility, making it a scalable and impactful initiative.
